From the inventor of the Hutchens Device, comes the most advanced carbon restraint yet when it comes to racing safety equipment. The R3 passed the most comprehensive and brutal SFI spec ever written. The R3 is a revolutionary new concept in the head and neck restraint systems. The R3 solves issues with current carbon restraints. The R3 head and neck restraint travels with the occupant during a crash to help keep the relationship of the head, neck and torso consistent.
The R3 head and neck restraint system differs from the HANS device, by restraining the forward, downward and lateral movement of the driver's head when put under an immense amount of G-forces up to 70 G's. The head and neck restraints include D-Ring kit installation for the helmet for easy disconnection of the helmet to the racing suit. The drivers spine area led to the design of the rear strap being anatomically positioned to run parallel to the racers spine. It includes straps encircling both the legs and the arms of the race car driver.
